01

Three address families

Bitcoin uses a UTXO model and Bitcoin-specific addresses. Solana has its own public keys, token mints and account rules. The seven EVM networks share the 0x address format, but use independent ledgers. Matching address text does not move assets between those ledgers.

02

An asset is more than a ticker

Identify an asset by network and native coin status, or by its exact token contract or mint. ERC-20 and BEP-20 describe EVM token interfaces; SPL and Token-2022 belong to Solana. Wrapped Bitcoin is a token, while native BTC belongs to Bitcoin. Native and bridged stablecoins can have different issuers and redemption terms.

03

Check compatibility at the point of use

A token appearing in a market list does not prove deposit, withdrawal or swap support. Check the application’s Receive screen, the asset identifier and the available route. NFTs, liquidity positions and tokens on unnamed networks require their own compatibility checks.
